Born in Senigallia (AN), Italy, on 3 October 1974, Nicola’s early exposure to the arts, influenced by his parents who were art history teachers, sparked his interest in painting and figurative arts.

Nicola began his artistic studies at an art high school, focusing on advertising graphics and photography. There, he developed a love for darkroom view photography and black and white printing. He furthered his education at the ISIA (Higher Institute for Artistic Industries) in Urbino, Italy, where he deepened his understanding of cinema through various professional courses.

After graduation, Nicola moved to Rome and joined the Cinecittà Digital Visual Effects department. Starting as an assistant operator, he gained valuable experience on advertising sets. Eventually, he embarked on an independent career as a director of photography, working on diverse projects including films, fashion, and music videos.
